ASES (After School Education and Safety)

Bay View ASES students receive support and guidance academically as well as taking part in enrichment and physical activities. We ask for the best from our students in everything they do.

ASES activities include:
  • Homework tutoring and reinforcement of math and reading skills
  • Art
  • Creative writing
  • Math games
  • Community building through role play and team activities
  • Additional activities such as cooking, dance, music and soccer
Snack and Wednesday supper is provided.

ASES is a no-cost program. Please consider a donation of $20-$50 for the school year to help with the cost of extra activities and supplies for the students.

Enrollment and Attendance

ASES accepts students first through fifth grade who attend Bay View Elementary School.

Students are enrolled based on attendance, teacher recommendation, and positive behavior. We are open at the end of each school day until 6:00 p.m.

Due to the funding of the program, once enrolled, students are required to attend ASES every day they attend school until 6:00 p.m. If your child is unable to attend or participates in an outside activity or you need to pick up early, please talk to the ASES site coordinator, Donna.

Our program emphasizes and expects positive academic behavior, as well as participation in community building skills, healthy habits and physical activity.

We are dedicated to supporting the changing needs of each student and we work closely with Bay View teaching staff.
